Music Director for The Asylum For Your Soul Hour!

 Darlene's love for music started from the time she was a small child. "I remember standing on my bed at night with a brush in my hand pretending it was a microphone, singing (You light up my life) to my mom before I went to bed."

  "I used to perform for my family at my grandmothers house pretending I was a singer of a band.. "


  Darlene is a lover of music, and has an extensive collection, from Kenny Rogers, to Metalica.. and more.. Which is one of the reasons we are so pleased to have Darlene volunteering her time with Soul. Helping to find music for our Radio Shows now, as well as hunting out new Independent Musicians to profile and interview.

  "My love for music has now worn off on my oldest son who is currently learning how to play guitar now" Darlene states. Showing how talented a family she has.

 Darlene is also an amazing poet, and song writer, with often times very powerful pieces that can be felt deep within.

  "I started writing at a very hard time of my life.. I was struggling with who I was and who I turned out to be and I learned that to heal I had to let it all out. Writing gave me that outlet and has been my outlet ever since."

Over the years Darlene's musical influences have been very diverse. "I love all types of music from Country music such as Kenny Rogers to Screaming Metal such as Dawn of Corrections. Music that has lyrical value and touches my soul to music that makes me want to scream out loud. The love of music has kept me going for a very long time, sometimes it feels like its a friend to confide in, There is always music to match my mood. It's healing in it's very own way..
