On This Path (Pantoum)
Embracing the warmth of the sun, Climbing endless hills on my way My life's walk has only begun.
Embracing the warmth of the sun Rainbows of happiness I aspire, My life's walk has only begun Joy and contentment is my desire.
Rainbows of happiness I aspire As rivers flow in sweet refrain, Joy and contentment is my desire The mountain top I shall attain.
As rivers flow in sweet refrain Calm waters bring my soul release, The mountain top I shall attain Having a sense of wondrous peace.
Calm waters bring my soul release Climbing endless hills on my way, Having a sense of wondrous peace On this path I walk day by day.

~Somewhere In Time~ Pantoum ~*~ Somewhere in time your luve shall be divinely mine, we'll romance together, two hearts that truly share. Somewhere in time, a fragrant prayer shall entwine; allowing true luve to grow, share the joy we'll bare. ~*~ We'll romance together, two hearts that truly share, somewhere in time, an Angel shall hark from above. Allowing true luve to grow, share the joy we'll bare, somewhere in time, 'pon Cupid s heaven my beloved. ~*~ Somewhere in time, an Angel shall hark from above, swaying their soft feathered wings of luve procured. Somewhere in time, 'pon Cupid s heaven my beloved; for our displaced hearts hath echoed, sweetly allured. ~*~ Swaying their soft feathered wings of luve procured, somewhere in time, a fragrant prayer shall entwine. For our displaced hearts hath echoed, sweetly allured; somewhere in time, your luve, shall be divinely mine! ~*~ Barbara Fidler impassionedpoetess |

3rd Place Winner Pat Simpson Love Will Defeat!
On His back up the street, He passed the friends He loved, With eyes that wouldn’t meet! ~~~*^V^*~~~ Ashamed because they knew, They had betrayed Him so, At His time of great need, They didn’t want to know! ~~~*^V^*~~~ Then at top of the hill, The heavy cross was laid, Down on the ground where then, His Body was displayed! ~~~*^V^*~~~ Arms outstretched on the cross, With His feet down the stem, Nails then were hammered in, With no protest from them! ~~~*^V^*~~~ But He knew their terror, A material one, That hearts would be sorry After the deed was done! ~~~*^V^*~~~ Has He hung on the cross, He understood their shame, Then with His loving heart, He forgave without blame! ~~~*^V^*~~~ To show us that loving, Is truly forgiving, Material misdeeds, Done with earthly living! ~~~*^V^*~~~ He knows here on this Earth, The temptations we meet, He showed by forgiving, Love will always defeat!
~~~*^V^*~~~~~~*^V^*~~~~~~*^V^*~~~
I Believe (The Itialian Barzaletta) ‘ The Core of life is The NEED TO BELIEVE With birth, suffering and death of Jesus God sealed His free gift of eternal life All He asked in return was faith in Him Unconditional unqualified faith Would He keep His promise of this free gift? The gift so great, the price so very small Do I truly believe, is my faith pure Can I trust God to give someone like me So undeserving, and so unworthy Can I receive from God this wondrous gift No proof can there be of the Covenant Lord’s truth is truly unconditional Man’ evidence can’t ever be the bridge Between finite man and infinite God Man cannot get to heaven through reason My only hope is to throw doubt away I need take an absolute “Leap of Faith” Say with all my heart: “Credo: I believe”
